Deertongue Grass is a clumping grass with bamboo-like foliage that grows 3-4 ft. tall and turns a beautiful yellow/brown in fall. Bears panicles of silvery flowers 4-6 inches long July through August.
Used for mass plantings, around pools and ponds, or as stand alone clumps. Nice filler material for dried arrangements. Prefers moist, rich soil in full sun. Panicum Clandestinum. Deertongue Grass thrives in zones 4-9.
