Indian Grass is one of the most beautiful native grasses. Grows 2-3 ft. tall with medium green foliage in clumps. The flower spikes reach 2-3 ft. above the foliage and are beautiful panicles 1-3 inches wide and up to 12 inches long. They have a soft, delicate, feathery quality that change from bright yellow to bronze as they mature.
In the fall, the grass turns yellow and then burnt orange. Maintains attractive color and form throughout Winter. A stunning accent grass, and an excellent flower arrangement material. Sorghastrum Nutans. Indian Grass thrives in zones 4-9.
