This shrub is one of the finest broadleaf evergreens for naturalizing, it develops into a fountainlike shape with long, arching, branches. It is very fragile so you have to keep it out of drying winds and the hot sun.
Beautiful dark green, 2 to 5 in., leaves often turn purplish or bronze in the winter. The white flowers are the shape of arrow heads and have a foul scent to them. This shrub needs moist acid soil to stay healthy.
